Q#1 : Removing Odors from home !?!

A#1 : Remove anything that could be creating odor.

A#2 :  Usually open windows and doors and place a large fan where it can blow fresh air in and a second fan to exhaust the odors out.

A#3 : Good Smell from potpourri in different corners of your house will help in reducing the cooking smell.

Simmer uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes.

  • 3
    Repeat later if needed.

  • A#4 :  Break charcoal up, place it in a container and put it where the odors are. Don't use the "fast light" charcoal--it has lighter fluid in it--not only is it flammable but it smells.

A#5 : A bowl of water and vinegar in the room will absorb the smoke. Baking soda is also a good absorbent. Put a generous amount of baking soda in an uncovered container
and leave it for several days. Remove and continue replacing the baking soda until it has cleared the bad smell.

A#6 :  Clothing, bedding, and drapes will need to be laundered or dry cleaned. Leave a liberal amount of citrus peels in your  home until the peels are completely desiccated.

A#7 : Make air freshener by taking two tablespoons of cinnamon and some orange/lemon peels or  drops of spicy oil and boil them in a cup of water. Then allow the fresh scent to permeate throughout your house.

A#8 : " Pandan leaf" is easy to get  in tropical countries as it is widely used in Southeast Asian cooking to add aroma to dishes. Its pleasant aroma also acts as natural air freshener. Just take a few strips of the pandan leaves and tie them into knots. Place the leaves inside the confined space and leave them until the leaves withered or dried up. Replace the leaves regularly until the smell goes away.

" Pandan leaf" smells nice, better than the chemical air freshner.
