How to Get Rid of Odor From Washing machine.

Q#1 : How to get rid of smell in Washer?!?

Q#2 : After my roomate use my washer. The machine started to smell bad like his socks. How can i do?

A#1 :  Let your washing machine fill with water and when it starts to agitate add about three cups of white vinegar, with a half cup of baking soda. Let the washing machine run through it's cycles and it will not only get rid of the odor, but will also clean the machine.

A#2 : Clean the surface of the washing machine with a wet cloth. Clean up any detergent spills immediately also, clear the interior of the machine with warm water and soap. Scrub the interiors if required.

A#3 : Look for clothes or items that may have become stuck in the washer and check drain lines and hoses to make sure they are clear.  Also check the pipes attached at the back of the machine to remove dust, insects and water.

A#4 :
  • Add one cup of bleach  in the washer tub. Close the door.
  • On the washer setting, select either the normal wash setting.
  • Select the hottest water temperature setting available.
  • Allow the machine to run through the complete the washing cycle
A#5 :  Never use regular detergent in front-loading washers because it creates too many suds which can lead to mechanical problems and foul odors. Run the empty machine with hot water and 2 cups of distilled vinegar. Repeat if odor remains.
