A#1 :
- Turn the refrigerator to 'Off.'
- If you have a refrigerator with a drip pan underneath, remove it to clean.
- Take everything and all removable parts out of the refrigerator, including shelves and drawers.
- Wipe any food matter out of the drawers. Wash the shelves, wire racks and drawers.
- Let the shelves, wire racks and drawers drain in a dish rack, on paper towels or newspapers.
- Remove any food matter from the bottom of the refrigerator.
- Using a sponge or dishcloth and the warm, soapy water wash inside of the refrigerator do not forget the compartments and door racks.
- Rinse the inside of the refrigerator with a sponge or dishcloth and clean warm water.
- Use a solution of 2 tbsp. baking
soda to 1 quart warm water, or 1 cup of vinegar and 1 gallon warm water to wash the inside of the refrigerator for odor control, apply and rinse. A box of baking soda placed in the refrigerator will also cut down on odors. - Replace all shelves, wire racks and drawers.
- Wash the outside of the refrigerator and the gasket (rubber molding around the door) with warm, soapy water, rinse and wipe dry.
- Turn the temperature control knob inside the refrigerator back to the recommended setting.
- Return the food to the refrigerator, first wiping off anything that are sticky.
- Remove any old or expired food into the trash. Remove that still good to a cooler with ice..
- Take out all removable drawers and shelves made of metal or plastic to wash with hot water and dish soap right away. Warm up glass and ceramic pieces to room temperature before wash with hot water to prevent cracking and breaking.
- Clean Shelves and Drawers Using a clean dry cloth or towel. Wipe down the interior of the refrigerator,the interior doors to make sure it is completely dry.
- Replace the Food back into the refrigerator. Also wipe off any jars or containers of food and dry them throughly as well.
- Clean out a freezer.
- Clean the Outside from the top, wipe down and clean the exterior of the refrigerator , rubber gasket seal around the edges of the door.
A#4 : Refrigerator stains can be easily removed by cleaning baking soda, with the added benefit of odor removal.
